The event was a lot of fun, special thanks to: <br /> East Oakland Boxing Association for coming out, selling plant starts and spreading the word about their programs <br /> Blues musicians John and Hans (formerly of the Cave Painters) playing some great tunes <br /> and Terrell Santiago of Trattoria Laurellinos for providing delicious appetizers! </p> <p> Those who checked out the film screening of FRESH (www.freshthemovie.com) got to stick around for some OFC specialty organic popcorn courtesy of Oakland Food Connection as well as a Q&A discussion at the end of the film. The event was so successful, in fact, that we are looking to make Laurel Movie Night on the Patio a monthly event! Keep your ears open for updates about our upcoming August movie night featuring another great food justice film! </p> <p> Also, keep those ears open tomorrow morning, <b>Saturday July 25th at 10:00am</b> when our own Executive Director, Mr. Jason Harvey will be featured on Helge Hellberg’s radio show An Organic Conversation!
